The women at Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh have been braving the cold for almost a month now to register their protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act and the National Register for Citizens. With the crowds swelling with each passing day as more and more protestors arrive from various corners of the country, I spent a night amongst these brave women and heard their stories of everyday struggles – both inside and out.
The resistance, they say, is to save the constitution.
And only when the government revokes the Citizenship Amendment Act will it come to an end.
