The First Day After Curfew

The fading light of the
Moon is saying,

The chains of horror are

The morning sun has pierced the darkness, every corner of the orchard is shining,
The birds are back on their wings, hearing the songs they used to sing – we look around the road for warning,

The pigeon is holding a letter of peace, albeit with a broken wing,
The guns have been silenced,

There is no wiring,
Yes, we are free.

It’s a good morning!
The peace may not be permanent, but it’s a new beginning!
