I dream of a world
Where peace isn’t just a dream
There is laughter but no scream
Where nigh might be the night
But high shines our hope’s light.
I dream of a world
Where she waits by the moonlight.
I dream of a world
Where war is just a bad dream
And there are no bodies in streams
Where our arms may be linked
But never chained nor afraid.
I dream of a world where
no casket arrives with your name engraved.
I dream of a world
Where nightmares are just in my mind
And when I wake up the world is still kind
Where her heart never has to waver
Should the ground and the air quiver.
For I dream of a world
Where you and I don’t differ.
