No End

At the end of exams,
I picture myself giving more exams.
Panic.
I am the athlete,
Running in a race
In which I didn’t participate
Reaching for the red ribbon of the finish line
Which drifts away as I come closer
Leaving me panting and running,
Hoping that the race ends.
I am waiting for the happy ending
That never comes;
I am waiting to feel the relief
Of exams getting over.
