It was Krishna’s – a teenager in Kerela – last class 10th board exam, and to get there she didn’t take the bus.
Instead, she rode a horse. Yep. A horse.
In a new viral video, Krishna is seen riding a horse like a professional in her school uniform with her bag bouncing on her back. She says, she does so only on “special days” or “when she is bored”.
This video clip from my #whatsappwonderbox shows how a girl student is going to write her Class X final exam in Thrissur district, Kerala. “I do not go daily on horses. Only on some special days, or when I get bored or on some exam days also, I ride on a horse to school. If you ask me what was special on that day, it was my last class 10th board exam,” she told news agency ANI.
The video has received a lot of praise from people across the country with many saluting her for her bravery and confidence.

Well-known industrialist Anand Mahindra also took to Twitter to applaud the girl saying that he wants to save a picture of her and her horse as his phone’s wallpaper.

While talking to NDTV, Krishna said that she started horse-riding when she was in Class 7 and now, after years of practice, she can easily ride a horse to school.
She decided to learn the skill when one of her friends said that it is not meant for normal girls and only for women like the queen of Jhansi.
“One of my friends said riding a horse isn’t that easy and it’s not possible for a girl to do it. He said it’s only possible for women like Jhansi Ki Rani. So I thought why can’t a normal girl ride a horse?” Krishna said.
According to NDTV, her father initially gave her a small white horse for training. She eventually gained control over the animal through constant practice and was able to ride it at full gallop without any supervision.
