We Do, We Are

You are not strong enough
You can be easily crushed,
They said.

We will demolish you
And we will silence you
They said.

We might not be strong enough
But our will is.
It might seem easy to crush us
But our spirits will be untouched.
They might think they can demolish us
But we will rise from ashes and stand up again,
Every single time
They can try to oppress us into silence
But our voices will only get louder.

Because we stand for the truth
We stand for everyone who cannot
We stand united, when they are determined
To break us.
We stand, because not doing so
Is not an option.
