Today as I entered my home, mom and dad gave me a tight hug and said, in their happiest voices, “Congratulations son! Now it's legal.”
A judgement or a new law is a good thing, but it's only the start to the real struggle.
This judgement has struck down the law, but hasn't guaranteed social acceptance for queer folks. There is still a lot to learn and unlearn.
It is something of an achievement to receive justice in our country.
