Finding Love

She stood forlorn in a busy hallway,
Full of whispers and chatter from bidding adieu
To good old friends and acquaintances.
A voice that caught her off guard,
Of a stranger whom she never knew
Or perhaps even heard.
But it felt at ease.
Like an intimate conversation
On a moonlight walk
In a faraway city
Holding hands and twirling
Sharing dreams and hopes for the future
Being in both joy and sorrow
Made the strangers turn into lovers.
Serendipity.
Maybe this is how it was meant to be.
She cherished it with all her heart.
Only to recount later that
It began as a drizzle,
And all at once, they were drenched.
