The Word Scrambler

I always wanted to be a writer,
To be able to string together words to create a perfect symphony so that it can leave the reader crying.
But you see, writing did not come easy to me.
Growing up, the letters mocked me – they appeared to me
upside down, inside out, twisting around,
laughing at me, taunting me.

The simplest sentence appeared to be a maze,
Leading to nowhere.
Words and letters made a fool out of me,
A joke to my peers,
Who laughed at the scrambled set of letters,
I produced in front of them

From which I attempted to find meaning,
To tell my story,
The story of a girl who had difficulty reading and writing,
Who wanted to take over the world
By becoming a writer.
