No,
It’s not about getting old
As you may have been told
It’s all about receiving
That fun which was missing
A little bundle of joy
A baby girl or boy
Reviving your memory
Of about a past quarter century
Your skills and expertise
Of changing swaddles and nappies
Of lullaby-ing through the day
And rocking the night away
Changing diapers is a joy
While burping sounds you enjoy
Waking up to a cry
That you hear from the room nearby
Being part of your child’s mission
Of raising a little one
You can still do it! You wonder
This thought makes you feel younger
So,
It’s not about getting old
As you may have been told!
